What the tool gave you decides the path
Different AI builders reach unique stopping points in their process, and the answer to “how do I make this into a website” is also unique for each:
| You used | You have | Shortest path to a real site |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Design | Standalone HTML, or a handoff bundle for Claude Code | Host the HTML for a demo; rebuild it as a site to edit it and run forms |
| Google Stitch | HTML with Tailwind and a DESIGN.md, or a Figma paste | Same: host for a demo, rebuild for a site (its Claude Code route is a real one) |
| Lovable, Bolt, v0, Base44 | A React application, hosted by the tool | Keep the app there; rebuild the website part as WordPress |
| Cursor, Claude Code, Codex on your own | Whatever you asked for | If it is a React app, as above; if it is a WordPress theme, you are nearly there |
The production checklist
A site is real when all of the following are true. Most prototypes have one or two.
- This has your domain with https, on hosting you control the bill and login for. Not a preview link, a subdomain of the tool, or a personal account.
- The forms go to a watched inbox, where a copy is saved, and ideally a Slack message is sent. A form that renders is not yet a form.
- Someone other than the person who prompted it can change it. Text, images, a new page, a new post. Without a prompt, a credit, or a developer.
- Google gets real HTML. Server-rendered pages, a title and description on each, a sitemap, no accidental noindex. Check with Search Console’s URL inspection, not with a third-party tool.
- Analytics with consent means utilizing one tag manager, a consent banner that actually blocks the tags, and a privacy policy page.
- It is very fast on mobile devices. Google PageSpeed on mobile is the score people look at; AI-generated sites often ship a full JavaScript bundle and unoptimized images.
- Somebody keeps it running: updates, backups, the certificate renewing, the form still sending next March.
How to convert AI-generated code into a website
Three cases.
This is some basic HTML (Claude Design or Stitch or from the coding agent for plain pages). It is pretty easy to host: you can just upload the folder to any website host (like Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, or GitHub Pages), and point a domain to it. You get a live demo with none of the checklist: no editing, forms that post nowhere, analytics you add by hand. To get any of that, you’ll have to convert the HTML to a WordPress theme. The process is detailed in HTML to WordPress.
It’s a React app (Lovable, Bolt, v0, Base44, or one built by the coding agent). Host it where the tool hosts it, or on Vercel or Netlify. Understand that the only way to make changes will be through prompts or a software developer. If it’s just a website, rebuild the design as a WordPress site and keep the app if there is one. The Lovable option is described here. The others are similar.
It is a design, not code (a Stitch screen you pasted into Figma, a Claude Design mockup you have not exported). Then you are at the beginning of any web project: someone builds it. The design has done the expensive part, deciding what it looks like, and a pixel-for-pixel rebuild keeps that.
Why the website part usually ends up on WordPress
Since everything on the checklist describes something that WordPress has done for the past two decades. On any host, with a page editor built in. The prototype settled the design. A block theme reproduces it. The rest, forms, editing, and the other controls, is the normal job of the platform. The site your AI tool built, is the brief.
Or have it done
MightyMigrate rebuilds what your AI tool made, pixel for pixel, as a fast WordPress site that ticks the whole checklist: hosting, forms that send, a page editor for the team, server-rendered pages, analytics and consent. $499 for up to 15 pages, live in 48 hours, staging link first. Scan the preview URL for the fixed price.
Questions people ask
Can you vibe code a website for free?
The prototype, yes: Google Stitch is free but limits, Lovable and most app builders have free tiers, and Claude Design is included with the paid Claude plans. Creating the actual site would cost money for hosting and build, especially if it’s something the team needs to edit.
What is the best vibe coding website builder?
For a design, Claude Design or Google Stitch. For an app, choose Lovable, Bolt, or Base44. For a website that you will run for years, go with none of the above. They are for making the design; the site is built from it.
Is a vibe-coded site safe to put a business on?
As safe as most people can make it. Code can be generated and shipped with code keys and forms that accept any type of data and no validations, and no updates, plans, or rules. The above checklist is the bare minimum. A rebuild on a platform with an update mechanism is the low-effort way to get there.
Does MightyMigrate work with Bolt, v0 or Base44 sites?
Yes, the scanner is able to read all public URLs. If it’s able to read the URL and can’t identify the platform, it still measures the site and takes your details for a fixed price within one business day.
