Google Stitch pricing and limits: what is free, and what runs out

The short answer

Google Stitch is free (as of now, there are no paid options). It lives in Google Labs. There are generation limits (previously it was a cap per month, as of Spring 2026, it is a daily limit). It resets each day. The numbers have moved several times, so read the counter in the app rather than a blog post. What free does not include is anything after the design: hosting, a domain, forms that send, or a way to edit the site without regenerating it.

Is Google Stitch free?

Yes, Stitch is a Google Labs product. As of September 2026, there is no paid tier: everything Stitch offers, including exporting code, the MCP server, and the Figma shortcut, will be completely free. Google Labs products may graduate to a paid plan. Nothing about that has been announced, but plan on the assumption that “free while in Labs” means what it says.

The limits

Free is metered by generations. When Stitch launched, the allowance was a monthly cap per mode (350 in Standard mode and a smaller number in Experimental mode were the widely reported figures). With Stitch 2.0 in spring 2026 the meter became a daily credit allowance that resets each day, with separate credits for generating and for redesigning, and generations costing different amounts depending on their complexity. The published numbers have changed more than once and vary between sources; the counter inside Stitch is the only reliable figure, and it is the one to check before a long session.

Running out is not dramatic: your projects stay, exports still work, and generation resumes when the allowance resets.

Standard mode vs Experimental mode

Stitch has two model tiers: Standard and Experimental. Standard mode is faster and has the larger allowance. Experimental mode uses the more capable model and therefore costs allowance and produces richer screens. There are some practical differences. One difference that is noticeable to the users is that copy to Figma is only in Standard mode. This is according to the Google Community Team. Therefore, if your team is missing a button that says “Copy to Figma”, it’s likely due to Google’s decision to only give that feature to Standard mode.

What free does not include

What comes after the design. Stitch does not have a publish button. Hosting is what costs money and makes a site live. So, hosting and other things, like purchasing a domain name and adding a service to connect the forms, make up the cost of a live site and something a team can edit. This can be very inexpensive or even free (if a site never changes, the cost of hosting it may be free as part of a service’s offerings) or it can be a business site that costs more. The routes and costs are listed on the Stitch hub.

When you need more than Stitch

  • The site must include a contact or quote form that generates an email.
  • There will be multiple editors.
  • Posts, news or case studies will be added over time.
  • It definitely needs: page-level titles, a sitemap, and mobile friendly functionality.

Nothing in Stitch costs money because Stitch doesn’t provide any of those services. They are what a website is, and the design you made in Stitch is the brief for it.

Or have it done

MightyMigrate rebuilds your Stitch design, pixel for pixel, as a fast WordPress site your team can edit: hosting, forms that send, analytics, your domain. $499 for a site, live in 48 hours, staging link first. Put the exported HTML on any temporary URL and scan it for the fixed price.

Questions people ask

Does Google Stitch have a paid plan?

Not at the time of writing. It is free in Google Labs.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Generation pauses until the allowance resets. Your projects, exports and Figma pastes will not be impacted.

How much does it cost to turn a Stitch design into a website?

Hosting the export: often free. A developer build: their rate. MightyMigrate: $499 for a site of up to 15 pages, with optional hosting at $69 a month.

Checked on 28 September 2026 against Google’s Stitch community answers (export thread, including the Standard-mode note on Figma export) and published coverage of the Stitch 2.0 release. Allowance figures are deliberately not quoted here because they have changed repeatedly; the app’s counter is authoritative.
