Lovable alternatives, sorted by what you are actually building

The short answer

There is no single Lovable alternative because Lovable does three jobs: it designs, it generates an app, and it hosts it. If you want another AI app builder, look at Bolt, v0, Base44 or Replit. If you want the design part without the app part, Claude Design or Google Stitch. If what you built is a business website and you want it to be editable, hosted on your terms and yours, the alternative is not another builder; it is a WordPress site rebuilt from the design you already have.

First, which Lovable are you replacing?

People leave Lovable for different reasons, and the reason decides the alternative. Credits running out on a site that barely changes is a different problem from a prototype that needs to become a company’s website, which is different again from a developer who wants their hands on the code. Pick your row.

Other AI app builders

Bolt.new is the closest like-for-like: describe an app, get a full-stack project you can run, with a strong developer-facing side. Base44 leans toward business apps with a built-in backend and less exposure to code, which suits people who never want to see the React. v0 comes from Vercel, is at its best on interface components, and hands off cleanly to Vercel’s hosting. Replit is an online development environment with an AI agent inside it; more flexible, more to learn.

Nothing changes the output: it’s always an app. The editing model is prompts, forms need a backend, and the website you run alongside the app still wants a page editor. So, if your frustration with Lovable stems from any of those, you will find the same with any other app builder.

Coding agents on the exported code

Lovable provides access to the code with each plan. Details are here how. For users that are comfortable in code editors, Cursor or Claude Code on the exported project keeps the AI assisted workflow and drops the credit meter. However, you will need to set up and deploy the necessary backend and services yourself. This is for developers, not marketers.

Design-first tools

If what you liked about Lovable was watching a design appear, Claude Design (Anthropic, included with paid Claude plans) and Google Stitch (Google Labs, free with limits) do that part without pretending to be a hosting platform. Both export HTML; neither hosts, and neither gives you a CMS. They are the right tools if a designer or developer is going to build the real thing from the design, which is also how MightyMigrate uses them: guides for Claude Design and Google Stitch.

Site builders with a visual editor

Framer, Webflow and Squarespace give you the thing Lovable does not: a canvas where you drag, type and publish. They also give you their hosting, their pricing tiers and their export limits, which is to say a different rented apartment. For a small site that one person runs they are a fine landing place. For one a team runs and wants to own, they are the platforms most of MightyMigrate’s other customers are leaving.

WordPress, rebuilt from the design you already have

If what you built in Lovable is a website, the honest alternative is not another site builder. Your site can be editable by all users, have automatic email forms with all entries, be server rendered, and owned by you. Everything can be moved to your own servers. WordPress provides all of these features and is the base of about two fifths of all sites on the internet.

The part people miss is that the design does not have to change. A Lovable prototype has already settled the layout, the type, the colors and the copy. A rebuild keeps all of that, pixel for pixel, and swaps the machinery underneath for something a team can run. It is a smaller move than switching to another builder, because nothing visible moves.

Or have it done

MightyMigrate rebuilds your Lovable site, pixel for pixel, as a fast WordPress site your team can edit: hosting, forms that send, analytics, your domain. $499 for a site, live in 48 hours, and your Lovable site stays up until you approve the new one. The scan reads your published Lovable URL and gives you a fixed price in under a minute.

Questions people ask

What is the best free Lovable alternative?

Google Stitch limits design generation for free accounts. For an app, most builders have a free tier with the same shape as Lovable’s: enough to try, not enough to run. For website development, the WordPress software is free. The cost is in website hosting and WordPress theme development.

Can I move a Lovable app to another AI builder?

Sometimes, when you import the exported code, the result is a rebuild in a different tool rather than a true transfer. Find out if the tool you want to use can import your current repository; Lovable can’t.

Is WordPress an alternative to Lovable?

Not for building an app by prompting. For running the website an app builder produced, yes, and usually the better one.
